More with less

While spending time on a sailboat or in a van you realize lots of stuff we have at home we actually almost never need. Living on a boat also shows me every season how much we really need and also that it has to be of a good building quality.

Cheap stuff is just cheap, so it will break and you need more stuff as replacements.

For example it is very liberating to discover you don’t need 24 plates, 15 pots and 5 pans and a lot of machines in your kitchen, same rule applies to a lot of other utility items.

Try to declutter your apartment once a year, be strict and throw away everything you didn’t need the past year. You will feel free like a bird and enjoy minimalism.

Everything we own, owns us too.
