Love letter to Lake Garda (Part 1)

I think I can't live without water surrounding me, so being on a boat was paradise, but now as I am back home in the Alps, with high peaks around me I need an escape.

The weekend escape is called lake Garda, it is a 60km long lake in the northern part of Italy, I would say one of the most beautiful northern lakes Italy has to offer. There you find it all, Italian lifestyle, great restaurants and fresh local food, swimming, sailing and surfing.

For me taking my bike down there on a weekend and riding thru the wild mountains to the lake is heaven, couldn't get better. It is the perfect ride, there a hundreds of different scenic routes to the lake and around it.

This time I will show you some photos of the western shore, the wilder one with little villages clinging onto the steep cliffs.

Campione, a hidden gem wich is the most famous spot for kite surfing on the lake.

Tremosine

The photos where taken from a small village called Tremosine high above the lake with a terrific view.
